Summary
Job Description
Working within our Revenues & Processing and Collections & Recovery service teams, the post holder will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of the Council’s Revenues & Benefits functions and Collection & Recovery functions.
The work of these service teams includes dealing with all matters relating to Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, Housing Benefits, Council Tax Reduction, Discretionary Housing Payments, Clothing Grants and Free School Meals, Income Collection, Debt Recovery and Scottish Welfare Fund in accordance with statutory legislation and regulations in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to those identified within the Finance and ICT Service Plan, the Council’s Digital Strategy and the Community Plan.

The Individual
This is a permanent full time post based within the Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock.
The hours of work are 35 hours per week to be worked Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm.
The workstyle for this post is Flexible’ - 50% -79% of your time in an office location/ multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home.
The full time salary of the post is between £26,991 - £28,265 per annum.
