Summary
KEY RESULT AREASService Delivery & Development Assist with the planning, delivery, co ordination of clinical skills training for nursing staff within Ward 12 in line with Trust Policy. To continually review performance against KPI's, proactivelyaddressing areas of concern. Utilise information from the appraisal process to assist with thecoordination of the Ward training programme. Work with the CH Education and Practice Development Lead todevelop the Wards individual training programmes. Maintain clinical credibility and visibility by working in the practicesetting in the support of staff and delivering care to patients when it is required. Actively facilitate staff development by ensuring all staff receiveeffective preceptorship and continual professional development. Actively facilitate staff development and support through clinicalsupervision and act as a supervisor and mentor. Ensure all staff undertake and complete a comprehensive localinduction programme. Actively participate in education meetings/events within the CMG. Support the Education and practice Development Lead and Sister tocarry out training needs analysis as required.Governance Assist the Sister and Matrons to carry out ward, department and CMG audits as identified. Act as a clinical professional expert and learning resource for the staff within the CMGs. Assist the ward in meeting 100% compliance with statutory andmandatory training through the delivery of relevant education andtraining in line with trust policies and NHSLA & CQC standards andguidelines. Patient/Customer Service Provide support to the nursing team by evaluating and taking action on patient feedback. Assist the Ward Sister in increasing and raising the profile of patient and public involvement. Promote patient and public involvement by developing new initiatives that support patient cantered care.Research Promote Nursing Practice research in the clinical ward area
