Description
The Housing & Prevention Manager - Housing plays a critical role in addressing housing issues and implementing preventive measures to combat homelessness within our community. This position will oversee housing programs, ensuring that we provide effective services to individuals and families faced with housing instability. You will be responsible for developing and managing strategies that not only assist those in immediate need of housing but also work towards preventing future occurrences of homelessness through education, resource allocation, and community engagement. As a key member of our management team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including local government, non-profits, and community organizations, to create a comprehensive approach to housing solutions. This role requires an individual who is not only passionate about making a difference in people's lives but also possesses strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You will be expected to ensure compliance with funding requirements, manage budgets, and report on outcomes related to housing programs. Responsibilities
Develop and implement housing programs to assist individuals and families in crisis.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of housing initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with government agencies, non-profits, and community partners to enhance service delivery.
Lead a team of housing specialists, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Create educational resources and workshops to inform the community about housing options and rights.
Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate program successes and challenges.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in housing services or related fields.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal housing policies and programs.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing multiple priorities.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £26.32
