IT & Systems Manager | Lincoln | Full Time | £45,000–£55,000
Our client is a dynamic SME looking to evolve and strengthen its internal IT capabilities. They are seeking a technically skilled and strategically minded IT/Systems Manager to lead day-to-day operations while planning and implementing longer-term infrastructure projects. This is a standalone role perfect for someone ready to take ownership of both technical support and strategic IT initiatives.
Are you the right person for the job?
• 3–5 years’ experience in IT management or senior support roles, ideally within an SME
• Strong technical knowledge across hardware, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity
• Experience with infrastructure planning and implementation (CCTV, cabling, server environments)
• Confident managing IT projects end-to-end, from scoping to delivery
• Excellent documentation and process management skills
• Comfortable working independently and making strategic decisions impacting the business
What will your role look like?
• Manage day-to-day IT operations, including hardware, software, connectivity, and telephony support
• Oversee IT set-ups for new starters, including PCs, laptops, printers, and user accounts
• Maintain and monitor data backups and remote/offsite backup protocols
• Administer Microsoft 365, OrderWise (ERP), and other business platforms
• Manage user permissions, onboarding/offboarding processes, and device provisioning
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including threat assessments, mitigation strategies, and password policies
• Develop and deliver employee training on digital literacy and security awareness
• Plan and implement IT-related projects, such as cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and software transitions
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licences, and configurations
• Liaise with external IT partners for escalations, ensuring accountability and resolution
