These posts represent an exciting opportunity to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Student Services Directorate working as part of the Residence Life Team.

The Residence Welfare Manager will provide effective and professional support to students during the evening and night at Keele University and the role holders will ensure there is a 24/7 provision of support to students working holistically with Residence Life Mangers, Resident Advisers and the Campus Safety Team.

These roles take an active role in working with the Campus Safety Team, ensuring the appropriate arrangements and responses are in place for serious student welfare concerns.

The posts will follow a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, between the hours of 9pm – 6am Monday to Friday and 7pm – 5am Saturday and Sunday, term time only.

The successful candidates will be experienced in supporting and helping to manage those experiencing emotional distress and able to deliver mental health support. They will ideally have experience of working with young adults with complex needs in an educational setting.

A key aspect of the role will be to offer appropriate support and guidance to the students whilst also ensuring effective liaison with other support structures such as the Counselling and Mental Health Team, Student Welfare teams, disability teams, NHS Access Teams, Wellbeing Centres, GP surgeries and our Student Union.
