Summary

Do you have proven experience in a detailed EC&I design environment?

Are you confident using CAD tools to produce and review high-quality engineering drawings?

Can you provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers as part of a multi-disciplinary team?

The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Designer, you’ll play a crucial role in developing design solutions and ensuring high-quality outputs within agreed timeframes and budgets.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Contribute to the preparation and production of drawings to the required quality standards.
- Promote effective collaboration across design and other functional teams.
- Allocate discipline tasks within your team and check outputs to ensure compliance.
- Advise on appropriate methods, tools, and technical approaches for tasks.
- Assist in resolving technical queries and developing discipline-specific solutions.
- Act as design lead when required, ensuring delivery against scope and schedule

Experience Required

- Demonstrated experience in a detailed design environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical use of CAD tools.
- Proven track record of working within multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship.

Qualifications

- HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject.
- Membership of a professional institute (preferred, not essential).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
