Summary
Overview
To operate tack welding activities and assist in the fabrication of metal components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
• Operate tack welding activities to join metal parts according to customer specifications.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Prepare materials and components for welding, including cleaning and positioning.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
• Record production data and complete job sheets accurately.
Requirements
• Previous experience in welding or metal fabrication (tack welding preferred).
• Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• MIG & TIG experience desirable but not essential (No qualification needed)
