Summary
JOB DETAILS Job Title: Patient Flow Coordinator Reports to: Matron Band: 7 Department: Womens CSU Location Cross City JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY The post holder will be will be responsible for flow of patients into and out from the maternity services. This will include the daily management and booking of women requiring induction of labour and oversight of elective caesarean section bookings as well as women accessing the maternity services through the acute pathway. They will work with the clinical teams to facilitate appropriate timely admission, transfer and discharge of across the maternity pathways. The post holder will need to have demonstrable knowledge skills and experience in maternity services to facilitate and prioritise patient flow across the inpatient services. The post holder needs to work well in high pressured situations and be confident to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe quality care. The post holder will communicate the capacity and flow position to the senior teams and escalate any issues that cannot be mitigated and need further input to resolve.
