Summary
The DSEME CIS Training Support Manager will:
Take primary responsibility for managing the DSEME VLE, working closely with the VLE team to ensure effective operation, security compliance (JSP 440), and timely issue resolution.
Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all DSEME VLE related faults and improvements.
Oversee VLE upgrades and security implementations in line with ITSO and JSP 440 directives.
Arrange and attend VLE Managers meetings (usually every two months).
Attend external events to aid digital modernisation of training aids.
Support the OC C4i team with procurement of CIS equipment, ensuring compliance with policy and support to contracted site services.
Assist with management of the DEAN network and resolution of Help Desk tickets.
Collaborate with DCTT TEL (Technology Enhanced Learning) representatives to ensure DSEME remains compliant with Headquarters direction.
Provide innovative CIS solutions to meet evolving training requirements.
Key responsibilities (% of time):
VLE Support (50%) - Manage the VLE, including user access, troubleshooting, reporting faults and ensuring systems run smoothly and securely.
CIS Continuous Improvement (45%) - Support digital transformation initiatives, procurement of modern CIS equipment and policy compliant processes across the training environment.
Training (4%) - Undertake Mandatory Training and address any skill gaps as required.
Performance Reporting (1%) - Maintain and update MyHR records and progress your own Performance Appraisal Reports (PARs).
