Job Title: Housing Repairs Admin Coordinator – FULL TIME

Pay rate: £15.38 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 hours per week

Role length: Anticipated 5 months

Working arrangements: Office-based for the first 2–3 months. After training, hybrid work (up to 2 days a week from home) may be available, subject to individual and business needs



The role:

Are you a highly organised individual with strong customer service and IT skills? We're looking for a Housing Repairs Admin Coordinator to join the team, supporting essential repair services for residents across the city and to provide a fantastic service to the tenants ensuring their repairs are delivered in a timely manner and to an excellent standard.

A knowledge of Housing Services or scheduling would be an advantage but not essential.



Key responsibilities:

Coordinate and arrange repair works for council tenants, ensuring repairs are carried out "Right First Time"
Be the main point of contact for operatives and supervisors on-site, helping to resolve issues and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Ensure that the repairs go as planned and finding solutions to any problems that may arise
Keep residents informed on the status of their repairs, offering excellent customer service throughout
Collaborate closely with other teams including Trade Managers, Housing Services, the Estates team, and the Citizen Contact Centre
Liaising with residents and stakeholders on a daily basis





What the client is looking for:

Qualification in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualification or experience
knowledge of Housing Services or scheduling would be an advantage but not essential
Proven experience of working in a customer service environment
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, and telephone manner
Able to work well as part of a team by communicating effectively with colleagues and have a willingness to assist where needed
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate successfully with a wide range of partners both internal and external
Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office applications and able learn new applications and technology
