Working Arrangement: Not provided, assume office based and working across the local area as required.

The role:

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer within the Housing team to take effective actions to address Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and improve the overall quality of life for Council residents and build safer communities.

You should have previous experience relevant to social housing and ASB along with the ability to work within the remits of Civil Court proceedings and legal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the ASB Manager and Neighbourhood Teams by working closely with key community safety related partnerships (internal and external) and deliver services in line with the ASB Policy, the Community Safety Strategy and relevant legislation
Ensure that case work is of the highest quality and ensure that residents feel supported throughout the process and strive for continuous service improvement
Take ownership of and investigate all allocated ASB cases and be the single point of contact for those involved, ensuring all actions used to abate ASB are effective and have measurable outcomes



What the client is looking for:

Previous experience relevant to social housing and ASB
Ability to apply relevant legislative tools available to the Council as a social housing landlord
Ability to work within the remits of Civil Court proceedings and legal processes
Knowledge of Housing legislation and other landlord related obligations as set out in relevant legislation and best practice
Excellent customer services skills and having a coordinated working approach
Previous experience of working with in a local authority and understanding local authorities’ obligations
Experience of preparing for and presenting cases in Court
Experience of working in housing and delivering services to residents of social housing landlords
Able to identify pre-legal remedies for resolving ASB and put these in action
