Do you like working with children in the community, both at home and at school?

We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Integrated Therapy team. Working as part of a locality team, managing your own caseload as part of the wider Service delivery to the community and schools providing Specialist Occupational Therapy for children and young people aged 0 - 19 years across Oxfordshire in a range of settings.

This position gives you the opportunity to support the community within the South of Oxfordshire with bases in Wallingford and Abingdon.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of the Children’s Integrated Therapy team, providing specialist Occupational Therapy for children and young people with a range of needs including complex disability. They will have responsibility for their own caseload, as an autonomous practitioner, adapting their approach to meet the needs of the child in a range of settings including patient’s own homes, clinics, early years settings and schools.

You will work with the professional leads and team leaders to ensure an efficient, high quality therapy service is delivered which is evidence-based and centred around the needs of the child/young person. Working jointly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team including Education, Social and Health Care, you will support the EHCP process and the delivery of recommended provision within a variety of pathways.

In addition, you may provide line management and clinical leadership for non-qualified staff working at lower grades.

  • Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience working with children
