Competitive Salary, private healthcare + flexible benefits

At NG Bailey, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading independent engineering and services businesses. Within our Facilities Services division, we deliver exceptional technical M&E solutions across some of the UK’s most high-profile and complex contracts.

We are now seeking an Account Director to take the lead on one of the country’s most iconic venues. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a flagship account at a national landmark — a role where technical expertise, service excellence, and strategic leadership come together to deliver a truly world-class service.

The Role

As Account Director, you’ll hold full accountability for service delivery, financial performance, and customer relationships across this prestigious contract. Leading both resident and mobile teams, you’ll drive operational excellence, ensure contractual compliance, and proactively develop strong customer partnerships that create new opportunities for growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role, where you’ll shape the strategic direction of the account, showcase technical innovation, and deliver an exceptional service that matches the stature of the venue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership of financial performance including gross profit, WIP, and aged debt.

  • Ensure contract KPIs/SLAs are achieved, with regular performance reviews.

  • Develop and deliver a bespoke customer relationship programme, enhancing satisfaction and creating work-winning opportunities.

  • Lead, coach, and develop your team to ensure service excellence and succession planning.

  • Oversee optimum staffing levels and resource planning to match service needs.

  • Manage project works and coordinate with our wider business capabilities where required.

  • Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are rigorously maintained.

  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice across the account.

  • Experience managing large-scale contracts with significant financial responsibility.

  • A strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Leadership skills with the ability to develop, inspire, and retain high-performing teams.

  • Commercial acumen and experience in identifying and developing new opportunities.

  • A background in M&E/FM services, with a strong technical understanding.

Benefits:

We're always evolving our benefits to ensure we're attracting and retaining great people. Some of what you can expect includes:

  • Car allowance
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays with an option to Buy/Sell additional days
  • Pension with a leading provider and up to 8% employer contribution
  • Personal Wellbeing and Volunteer Days

  • Salary sacrifice car scheme (Hybrid/Electric Vehicle)
  • Free 24/7 365 Employee Assistance Program to support mental health and well-being (including counselling sessions and legal advice)
  • Flexible benefits to choose from inc: Dental Insurance, Gym Membership, Give As You Earn, Travel Insurance, Tax Free Bikes.

Next Steps:

As a business, we’re on a journey to build on our culture where everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. This starts with recruitment and how we bring people into the organisation.

We’ll do our best to outline the recruitment process to you ahead of time with plenty of notice. If you require any accommodations to participate in the application or interview process, please let us know and we will work with you to ensure your needs are met.
