Our client, a well-established nursery in Farnham, is looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support in leading a passionate team and providing outstanding early years education and care.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a supportive, child-centred environment and is eager to make a real difference in children’s lives.
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will an important role in supporting the Nursery Manager with both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. You will help lead, inspire and mentor a team of practitioners, ensuring the nursery consistently delivers high-quality childcare in line with EYFS and Ofsted standards.
This position offers an excellent balance between hands-on involvement with children and nursery management.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years 9 (or above)
- Proven experience in a senior or managerial role within a nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
- Ability to lead, inspire and support a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Nursery Manager in leading and motivating a skilled team of early years practitioners.
- Ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and education across all rooms.
- Overseeing compliance with Ofsted, EYFS and health & safety regulations.
- Assisting with parent tours, enrolments, and building positive family relationships.
- Managing staff rotas, training, and performance development.
- Contributing to budget management and nursery administration.
- Acting as a role model and mentor, guiding colleagues to deliver best practice.
