Summary

Financial Assessment Team Leader needed in Southampton Paying £20.98 per hr ref 5273345

Full time hours on a temporary basis

In the Adult Social Care Finance you’ll lead on complex financial assessments, guide clients through their funding options, and ensure fair, transparent charging in line with national and local policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed financial assessments to determine client contributions for care, including complex cases requiring legal input.
  • Collaborate with clients, care managers, providers, and internal teams to ensure fairness and clarity in financial decisions.
  • Offer clear, compassionate advice on funding options such as top-ups, deferred payments, and debt recovery.
  • Support clients in accessing unclaimed welfare benefits.
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns and suspected fraud, assisting with investigations as needed.
  • Signpost clients to independent financial advice where appropriate.
  • Provide expert procedural guidance to social work teams, senior managers, and clients.
