Summary
To provide expertise in one or more fields of mechanical engineering, electronics, computing and networking in the maintenance service to the highly complex radiotherapy equipment used for treating cancer patients. To participate in the maintenance service to the highly complex radiotherapy equipment used for treating cancer patients. In particular: linear accelerators, orthovoltage therapy x-ray machines, High Dose Rate after-loading machine and dosimetry equipment. To technically interpret reports from radiographers; and to discuss complex aspects of linear accelerator operation with scientists, technologists and manufacturers engineers with regard to fault diagnosis, equipment maintenance and innovative device development and modification For further details of the role please see the attached job description.
