Summary
This full-time apprenticeship role supports the delivery of high-quality facilities services across healthcare and office environments, including cleaning, portering, catering, and waste management. Based at Lings Bar Hospital, with travel across multiple sites, the apprentice will help coordinate daily operations, ensuring accurate work is completed within set time frames and quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising Facilities staff, managing rotas and absence cover, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control standards. The role also involves liaising with clinical and operational teams to ensure services meet patient and staff needs, responding to urgent requests, and supporting staff training and development. As the apprentice progresses, they will be expected to operate more independently while remaining under the guidance of the Facilities Management team Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
