About the role: Hospitality & Chef TeacherWe are seeking an experienced teacher with a strong culinary background to join our Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Culinary Arts provision within the Activate Learning Hospitality and Catering department at Banbury and Bicester College. You will be responsible for delivering, and assisting across our courses.This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with passion and drive who is committed to inspiring students and enabling them to unlock their potential, with a catering curriculum which is truly unique. In partnership with Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck Group, we provide students with outstanding opportunities to advance their culinary skills.This is a permanent, part-time position working one day a week, ideally on Tuesdays (0.19 FTE) at Banbury and Bicester College.What do you need to be a successful Hospitality & Chef Teacher at Activate Learning?Teaching experience is desirable, but not essentialStrong professional background as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie.Relevant qualifications to teach in Hospitality and CateringExcellent organisational skills with the ability to balance teaching, assessment, and industry engagement.You will also work closely with industry partners-including hotel chains, restaurants, and catering employers-to create opportunities for students such as work placements, apprenticeships, mentorships, and masterclass demonstrations.What Activate Learning offer to new Teaching staff?Here at Activate Learning, we recognise the importance of a good induction when joining a new organisation.
