Summary

At Blue Arch Homecare (Chippenham), we’re committed to helping people remain independent in their own homes. As a Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care and support that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

This role is both rewarding and challenging, requiring compassion, reliability and a genuine desire to support others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming).

- Assist with meals, hydration, and medication in line with care plans.

- Encourage independence and help clients achieve their daily goals.

- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and loneliness.

- Carry out light domestic tasks and shopping where required.

- Keep accurate care records and promptly report changes or concerns.

- Safely support clients in line with moving & handling and safeguarding policies.

- Attend induction and mandatory training

- Embrace digital systems for recording care notes securely, in line with data protection and cyber resilience best practice.

Requirements:

- Caring, compassionate attitude and strong communication skills.

- Experience in care is an advantage, but not essential – full training is provided.

- Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate records.

- Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

- IT literacy (ability to use digital care recording systems securely).

- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

- Right to work in the UK (please bring proof to interview).
