Summary
My client is a respected smaller contractor expanding in the south with a portfolio of industrial, commercial and leisure projects delivered successfully from £ 1 - 5 million in the past.
The role is with the project team to be the number one on site on a £2 million refurbishment of an existing industrial building with both Structural and service diversions works alongside the addition of a Mezzanine level and associated fit out across the project, you will be reporting to the Construction Director and taking the project from initial site set up.
From day one you will be looking to get the subcontractor gangs moving and drive the various subcontractors including civils and structural teams through to the services and associated internal and external packages.
Managing the sub-contractors from initial prestart meeting to hand over and responsible for :
- QA on subcontractor works.
- RAMS
- Daily weekly and monthly performance meetings
- Solving technical queries
- Site safety
- Short term programme updates
- Logistics / site set up
- Sub-contractor coordination
This is an opportunity for either and experienced Pm / Contracts Manager to get back to a " proper builder " or an up-and-coming PM /SSM looking to lead a job with a company that is on the way up
Applicants must have up to date CSCS , SMSTS and 1st aid as well as experience with industrial /commercial steel framed industrial building / refurb projects in excess of £2 million in the past with subcontractor management for sub contract gangs on the various buildings, car parks and services
This is an immediate start for the right suitably qualified candidate and with numerous ongoing work and the opportunity to work on this project for the rest of the years security of work is very much likely
