The Role

As the business is growing and evolving there is an exciting opportunity to join the Roman Commercial team a as Project Coordinator/ Estimator ultimately responsible to the Commercial Director.

The role is primarily focused on supporting our dynamic and exciting specification and contracts team. Working with key customers including; specialist contract merchants, international hotel groups, architects, designers and developers amongst others.

The successful applicant will join a strong successful team, that is tasked with delivering both customer and company objectives as required. As the role has a project focus, it will involve communication at all levels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all timescales and project requirements are met.



Key Duties
• Provide project technical sales support for the specification and contract sales team.
• Effective communication with external and internal customers.
• A strong understanding and use of Excel.
• Complete and maintain all relevant administration associated to the commercial team
• Understand customer requirements, making best practice recommendations and developing the required specifications.
• Develop, manage and coordinate the delivery of bespoke customer requirements.
• Evaluate architect drawings and technical specifications.
• Perform budget and cost analysis for specific projects
• Generate, manage, and coordinate the commercial package for customers including; quotations, data sheets and technical drawings.
• Agree and lead project requirements and objectives both internally and externally
• Act as a facilitator for project teams to ensure delivery against project specification and deadlines
• Potential site visits for evaluation, measure and installation.
• Supporting other areas of the business (primarily sales/contract sales, export, purchasing, R&D, engineering, production, and marketing) through market or project requirements, through pricing to project delivery.
• Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product. This involves printed and electronic promotional material, product training.
• Act as point of contact for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues internally to address any issues that may arise.
Experience and Person Specification


Required
• Highly motivated with positive attitude
• Strong work ethic with drive to see a project through to completion
• Flexibility and willingness to prioritise tasks as they arise
• Strong communication skills at all levels
• Good degree of IT literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Desirable

• Good standard of education at a tertiary level, preferably with an engineering back ground.
• Experienced working in a team, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering against set deadlines to achieve company objectives.
• Some experience working with cad software such as Solid Works would be advantageous.








Hours of Work
8.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 08.45am to 14.45pm on a Friday-35.5 hours

Salary – dependent on experience
