The Role:
Our client is looking for an Environmental Services Operative to join our team in Thamesmead. In this role, you will ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for the local community, focusing on tasks like litter picking, waste removal, graffiti cleaning, and minor grounds maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness across assigned areas, including litter picking, bulk removal, and graffiti removal.
Assist in grounds maintenance tasks such as weeding and pruning.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and report any damages or defects.
Work to a set cleaning schedule and collaborate with colleagues as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Physical ability to carry out outdoor environmental work in varying conditions.
Clear communication skills, both with colleagues and the public.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Experience in environmental cleansing or similar roles.
Knowledge of Health & Safety standards in public spaces.
Familiarity with basic IT systems and mobile phone use.
