Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations. This full-time position (40 hours/week) starts in early to mid-October 2025, with a starting salary of £25,403, rising to £26,740 after a successful 3-month probation.Key responsibilities include:
- Bookkeeping and accurate data entry
- Recording, reconciling, and filing purchase invoices
- Processing staff expenses and liaising with internal teams and suppliers
- Reconciling supplier statements and compiling company reports
- General administrative duties (post and catalogue distribution)
- Providing cover for colleagues during absence
- Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc tasks
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- A sharp eye for detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and self-discipline
- A calm, professional temperament and team-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP Business One and AAT Level 2 (desirable)
Qualifications:
- Minimum: GCSE passes in Maths and English
- Desirable: 3 A-Level passes
