Directly Responsible to: Headteacher

Hours of Duty: 32.5 hours pw Monday to Friday 08:00 to 14:30

Closing Date: Monday 15th September 2025 at 12 noon

Interview Date: Monday 29th September 2025

Qualifications Required: Appropriate Basic Food/Catering Qualifications

  • Managing and organising the efficient and effective operation of a quality school catering service to achieve set nutritional standards.
  • Organise rotas and deployment of staff.
  • Liaise with the school business manager about menu options.
  • Budget monitoring.
  • Organise food preparation and cooking activities including the serving of meals and beverages and the staffing of service points.
  • Have overall responsibility for monitoring and maintaining portion control.
  • Marketing of the catering service.
  • To ensure all children’s dietary needs are met.
  • To maintain a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety in the kitchen and associated areas.
  • Maintain the HACCP system and documentation, ensuring that this is up to date.
  • General kitchen and dining room activities.
