Hours of Duty: 32.5 hours pw Monday to Friday 08:00 to 14:30

Qualifications Required: Appropriate Basic Food/Catering Qualifications
- Managing and organising the efficient and effective operation of a quality school catering service to achieve set nutritional standards.
- Organise rotas and deployment of staff.
- Liaise with the school business manager about menu options.
- Budget monitoring.
- Organise food preparation and cooking activities including the serving of meals and beverages and the staffing of service points.
- Have overall responsibility for monitoring and maintaining portion control.
- Marketing of the catering service.
- To ensure all children’s dietary needs are met.
- To maintain a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety in the kitchen and associated areas.
- Maintain the HACCP system and documentation, ensuring that this is up to date.
- General kitchen and dining room activities.
