Team Leader (Gas - Tenant Safety Team Housing Services)
Waverley Court

Salary: £46,023 - £54,476
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Council's Tenant Safety team as a Gas Team Leader.

Working as part of the Council's Housing Service, you will be responsible for managing a team of gas engineers in a busy and challenging work environment, ensuring that the Council is fully compliant with its statutory responsibilities, putting our tenants' safety at the heart of everything you do. You will have strong leadership skills and have experience of leading and managing others. You will be required to manage workloads, direct resources, prioritise tasks, drive performance and support and develop your team. You will work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues, providing professional advice and guidance from your experience and expertise. You will be suitably qualified to competently manage a gas team.

This is a demanding but rewarding role for the right candidate. This is an opportunity for someone who has a passion for working with people and who wants to make a difference, helping to drive forward our service to be top performing, highly efficient, customer focussed, and a workplace people feel proud to be a part of.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we're bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/work-us/behaviours" target="_blank">Our Behaviours - The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Happy to talk flexible working.
