About the Role

The School Admissions Service has an exciting new career opportunity to join the team as a School Admissions Manager. You will lead on several statutory and non-statutory responsibilities and be supported by a team of Admissions Officers and where necessary seniors. An understanding of the School Admissions Code and Synergy software would be an advantage, but not necessity, key areas of involvement will be:

  • To be responsible for leading on the Co-ordinated School Admissions processes
  • To oversee and offer advice when processing admissions forms
  • To develop a full understanding of School Admission Appeals
  • To advise clients in accordance with service policies and legislation
  • To cover admissions responsibilities in the absence of direct seniors
  • To work with a range of internal and external agencies to ensure children do not miss out on education
  • To report to Lead Operational Officer

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

  • Education to degree-level or possesses equivalent, transferable experience gained in a similar environment.
  • Several years of experience working in a public-facing role, as well as engaging with business-to-business clients.
  • A proven ability to meet or contribute towards statutory or project deadlines within a legal or regulatory framework.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • While prior experience in project management and supervising staff would be advantageous, it is not essential for the right candidate.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
