About the role of Project Team Leader:

This position will be fully office-based from our Somerton depot. The Project Team leader fulfils a supervisory role within the Projects Department, responsible for overseeing a team of Project Coordinators and managing several client accounts.

The Project Team Leader is the key point of escalation for Project Coordinators to handle more significant queries and issues. Allocating and delegating projects to Coordinators also falls under this role, with the Team Leader expected to manage workloads and keep to agreed standards and timescales. Team Leaders then feed back to the Planning Manager.

This role supports the Depot Manager in overseeing the Project Team, including managing spreadsheets and coordinating client meetings.

Responsibilities of a Project Team Leader:

- Account management of multiple set clients and a portfolio of projects

- Management of a team of Project Coordinators, including assisting with issues, delivering training, goal setting, and conducting reviews.

- Ensuring PO coverage for all works, overseeing outstanding invoice queries and liaising with coordinators and clients to ensure invoicing is completed

- Receiving new workstreams and projects and allocating these to the project coordinators accordingly

- Resolving more complex or sensitive issues with clients, and providing clients with a point of escalation beyond the Project Coordinator

- Quoting and booking of Traffic Management projects as needed

- Liaison with Operations, CAD team and other Chevron depots to ensure works proceed as required and to minimise day-to-day issues

- Any other duties required by the Planning Manager or Service Centre Directors

- Collating KPI reports

- Overall lead and responsibility for clients' requests for Traffic Management

- Supervising team activities

- Timely email response.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer billing records

Essential Attributes for a Project Team Leader:

- High level of verbal and written communication

- High level of organisational and planning skills

- Good problem-solving abilities, anticipating challenges, and delivering solutions

- Supervisory/ Management Experience

- Forward planning abilities, strategic thinking and time management

- Ability to build relationships with the team and with the wider organisation

- Right to work in the UK unsponsored

- Ease of travel to our depot.
