What You’ll Do:

As a Housing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Housing Management and Income Services. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing clear, accurate housing advice to tenants and homeowners.

Assisting with mixed tenure repairs and consultations.

Supporting tenancy sustainment and housing options.

Identifying rechargeable repairs and ensuring income recovery.

Proactively managing housing debt and negotiating repayment plans.

Coordinating appointments and liaising with Housing Officers.

Handling sensitive customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Organised and able to manage their own workload.

Skilled in handling conflicting priorities and deadlines.

A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.

Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with distressed or challenging individuals.

Knowledgeable about housing legislation and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

A team player who uses initiative and sound judgement in their work.
