About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teacher for a full-time, long-term opportunity at a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Leeds.This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys the variety of working across different subjects and year groups, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, effectively managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.The role is challenging yet highly rewarding, providing a unique insight into a diverse curriculum and school life.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A passion for education and student development
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups
- Maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment
- Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Ensuring all students are engaged and on-task
- Providing support and guidance to students
- Recording and reporting on student attendance and behaviour
- Leaving a summary of lesson progress for the regular teacher
- Liaising with Heads of Department and senior staff where necessary
- Promoting a positive attitude towards learning
- Adhering to all school policies and procedures
