About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Female PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the area of Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons to students across all key stages, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels empowered to participate and succeed. This is a role focusing on the impact and contribution of the teacher within the school's physical education department.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the PE national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all students.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Creativity in lesson planning and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs and teams.
  • Participate in school events, including sports days and school trips.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Liaise with parents and carers regarding student progress.
  • Provide pastoral support to students.
  • Keep up-to-date with educational and subject developments.
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
