Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of Looked After Children, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met.

Complete assessments, care planning, and statutory visits in line with legislation and Lewisham’s policies.

Work closely with children, families, foster carers, and multi-agency partners to deliver positive outcomes.

Contribute to care proceedings, permanency planning, and pathway planning for young people transitioning into adulthood.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with professional standards.

Essential Requirements:

Degree/Masters in Social Work and current SWE registration.

At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in Children’s Services (preferably within LAC or safeguarding teams).

Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, relevant statutory guidance, and best practice in Looked After Children services.

Right to work in the UK.
