Summary
Young Person Substance Misuse Practitioner
Working hours: 37 hours Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work however this is does not occur often.

About the role...
We are currently looking to recruit a Young Person Substance Misuse Practitioner to join the Branching Out Team in Calderdale. We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual who enjoys working with young people, to join the Branching Out Team – which is the drug and alcohol service in Calderdale, working with young people aged 10 – 21. Your role will be develop, deliver interactive educational sessions around drugs and alcohol for young people.
You will work in close partnership with schools and other young person provisions in Calderdale delivering educational sessions to raise awareness around the risk associated with drug and alcohol use. This includes delivering interactive training sessions, supporting the delivery of structured group work, and providing specialist interventions. The role aims to empower young people to make informed choices, develop resilience to substance use, and improve their overall wellbeing.
About you...
You must enjoy working with young people/have experience working with young people.
You must be able to work flexibly.
You must understand the challenges that young people face and be able to deliver interventions and activities that empower and enable them to build resilience to substance misuse.
You must have a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle to be considered for this role.
