Summary
To provide professional leadership and management to nursing staff. Deputise for the Lead TB Clinical Nurse Specialist (line manager). Liaise with Public Health England with regard the epidemiology of Tuberculosis and the management of specific cases. To act as a role model in promoting equality of opportunity among staff in line with the Trusts Equality and Diversity Policy as well as conducting equality impact assessments on policy and/or service changes. To ensure local TB policies/protocols and guidelines are developed and reviewed to reflect best practice and that staff are informed of changes and work within these. To lead the review and re-design of patient pathways and services to ensure that these meet the changing needs of patients while optimising resources.
