About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our Maintenance team as a Sign Maintenance Engineer’s Mate. This role involves supporting the Maintenance Engineer with day-to-day signage maintenance and installation tasks, with on-the-job training, development opportunities, and a clear pathway to progression.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Maintenance Engineer with maintenance and installation of signage.
Support with loading and packing signs into vehicles, ensuring care and attention to avoid damage.
Assist in the safe assembly of mobile scaffolding (training provided).
Work alongside the engineer on various signage types, including non-illuminated and illuminated signs, built-up letters, flat cut panels, box signs, flex face signs, lighting troughs, LED lighting, neon, graphics, and vinyls.
Communicate with customers on-site where required.
Help ensure company vehicles and equipment are properly maintained.
Follow all Health & Safety policies to ensure safe working practices.
Ensure all installations are left in a clean and working condition.
Skills & Experience
Experience with power tools (electric and battery-operated).
Full clean driving licence required.
IPAF / PASMA / First Aid certificates are desirable (training can be provided).
Working Hours & Benefits
39+ hours per week (early starts common, sometimes 1-2am travelling to site for 5am opening. Typical day ends 2pm but candidates must be flexible)
Overtime and weekend work available.
