Summary
We are looking to recruit a HCA to work with our friendly, well established practice team in East Manchester. Our list size is currently over 8,000 with diverse populations. This very interesting role could be developed by the right candidate who is interested in extending learning.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience but those with other relevant experience which would act as a basis for in-house training are also welcome to apply.
The job will involve general HCA duties, home visits (own vehicle is essential), taking BPs and phlebotomy. (Evidence of a qualification in phlebotomy is desirable although training is available for the right candidate). ECGs, Health Checks, smoking cessation, immunisations (training available for the right candidate), telephoning patients on QOF and Manchester Standards lists, this is an essential part of the role and the successful candidate should have a good telephone manner.
HOURS: 25 hours per week across Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
The successful candidate must be reliable, motivated, a good team player, willing to learn and able to adapt to a new working environment.
Essential skills/qualifications:
GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
Phlebotomy qualification
Computer Skills - word/excel
Driving Licence
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
