Regional Trainer (Health, Care & Medicines)

Derby Based (with frequent travel)

Circa £32,000 pa, (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Full time 37.5 hours per week, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

The SENAD Group provide specialist education, care and community support for the most complex, vulnerable and hard-to-place young people and adults. Our services work with people with autism, mild to severe learning difficulties, mental health and challenging behaviour. We operate schools, care homes and community support packages across the East and West Midlands, Northampton and North Wales.

Reporting into the Head of Training & Development, this role provides a great opportunity for someone who has a broad range of experience in Health and Social Care, who is confident and able to deliver engaging training to others. We will invest in your CPD to build knowledge in new areas and to become accredited. You don’t have to be a trainer right now, but if you have the knowledge and passion, we will support your development.

In this unique and varied role, you will provide training and induction programmes across multiple locations and deliver key training to staff teams in topics such as First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Medication Management, Epilepsy and Buccal, Asthma, Safeguarding, Moving & Handling, Autism, Learning Disability and many more. We will support you in this varied career journey and give you the tools to deliver outstanding training to complement and enhance our services.

You should have at least 3 years of experience in a social care, healthcare or residential childcare setting and hold a minimum of Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent) ideally in a Health or Social Care field. You should be confident, a great orator and able to share learning and best practice. You should have a passion for the safety, health and care of others; be able to travel very regularly across SENAD locations and be willing to achieve the Level 3 Award in Education & Teaching (AET) – if not already in receipt.

In return, you will benefit from wide-ranging support, supervision, training and development. We also offer a Staff Discount Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, a workplace pension and free parking at all work locations.
