Summary
We are looking to add a Full-time/ Part-time Dental Nurse to our friendly, hardworking and professional dental team. We strive to provide high-quality care to our patients whilst providing a welcoming, caring environment. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a caring, empathetic nature with a clear ability to communicate effectively with the team and our patients. The role of a Dental Nurse requires a passion for patient care, excellent organisational skills, and a desire to work independently as well as part of the wider team.
The role includes; Preparing and closing down of treatment rooms before and after clinical sessions, assisting the dentist during various treatment procedures, The provision of excellent patient care before, during and following procedures, Compliance task records in line with practice policy and procedures, Recording data onto practice management software, Stock control of dental materials and equipment, Working to safety protocols, Decontamination of dental equipment between patients and at the end of surgery sessions, Cleaning and maintenance of the surgery environment, Taking telephone calls, recording appointments, obtaining patient consent, listening to the clinician and patient to understand requirements of instruments/equipment/materials/further actions required, general housekeeping, record keeping, keeping up to date with continued professional development, maintaining personal training records, maintaining registration and professional indemnity.
Qualifications & Requirements;
Dental Nurse qualification or willingness to train towards
IT skills
Professional Indemnity (if qualified)
GDC Registration - in date (If qualified)
Personal Development Plan - PDP
Occupational Health Record including Hep B vaccination status (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
Enhanced DBS will be required prior to employment.
