Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Practitioner to work at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

LUHFT has a proven track record in successfully recruiting into NIHR portfolio and commercial studies. They conduct a variety of projects, including observational and cohort studies, device and drug trials as well as mixed methods and qualitative research.

The Research Practitioner must be a strong advocate for research and patients, able to both recruit and provide effective support to research participants.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to work independently and flexibly. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic and ready to work to recruit patients in line with targets, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

The Research Practitioner will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of research studies. This includes identifying and screening potential participants, recruiting patients in line with study protocols, supporting the informed consent process, and managing all study-related procedures. These may include venepuncture, ECGs, completion of study databases, and the collection, processing, and shipment of biological samples.

All clinical research activity must be conducted in compliance with the European Union (EU) Directive and in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (ICH/GCP) guidelines.
