Summary

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Officer to join our Research and Enterprise Office (REO). This dynamic role is split between supporting a funded project aimed at boosting regional research commercialisation and managing contracting processes across research, enterprise, and commercial activities.

You’ll work closely with academic and professional colleagues to review, negotiate, and advise on contracts with funders, clients, and partners, helping to ensure robust, timely, and risk-aware agreements that support our strategic goals. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a keen eye for contractual detail, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone who can:

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support contracting processes with funders, clients and partners.
- Deliver excellent client service and maintain strong relationships with business partners
- Liaise with academic staff to ensure they fully understand any contractual obligations and risks.
- To monitor and action the plans on the development and delivery of projects related to research commercialisation.

You’ll need strong organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently. Experience in higher education or a commercial environment is desirable, but not essential.

Join a university that’s committed to enterprise, innovation, and making a real-world impact. If you’re ready to help shape the future at Teesside, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now and be part of something transformative.

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post will not qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.

If you are shortlisted, your interview will take place in person, on campus.

The interview will take place on 2 October 2025

Please note that the University may ask you to participate in a number of selection activities as part of the recruitment process for this vacancy.
