Summary
Grade: H scp 27 £38220 to scp 31 £41,771 with 7% enhancement for for evening/weekend working plus Essential Car User Allowance up to £963

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our newly established Family Group Conference Team within our Family Help Service, to deliver and support the Family Group Conference approach. The role will be pivotal in ensuring the principles of FGC are embedded to enable families to find culturally sensitive solutions to their own problems within a professionally supportive framework.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of Family Group Conference sessions with children and their families as part of a case load. They will mediate and facilitate Family Group Conferences and ensure that the organisation of meetings are in the best interests of Children. This will include responsibility for ensuring meetings are organised and managed in the best interests of Children. The post holder will also support the embedding of a wider Family Network approach.

About You
You will be a passionate and experienced worker with an understanding and experience of working with Children and Families, and an understanding of Family Group Decision Making approaches. You will have a good understanding of wider Family Help developments, and experience of Family Group Conference and Family Network approaches in practice.
You will have experience of utilising a restorative approaches to working with families. You will have experience of working with Children’s Services and partners in practice and understand integrated working.
You will be a team player, who is able to use their own initiative and someone who embraces creative approaches to working with children and families. You will approach change with a ‘can do’ attitude to overcome challenges and take a strengths based approach to the role.

1. Your working knowledge and experience of the Family Group Conference Model and Family Network approaches.
2. Your proven experience of complex case work with children, young people and families; understanding levels of risk/need and when the level escalates to a threshold that requires a referral to Social Care. (this should also include your experience of Child Protection Investigations, Child Protection Conference System or planning for Looked After Children).
3. Your in depth understanding of restorative approaches and how these apply to family led, solution focussed interventions to empower families.
