Summary

Job Title: CAD Design Engineer
Location: Banbury

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Design Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in producing precise technical drawings that support the fabrication and installation of bespoke architectural features, with a particular focus on balustrades and railings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, site managers, and estimators to ensure drawing accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
  • Translate architectural drawings into technical designs suitable for fabrication and site installation, especially for balustrades and railings.
  • Review and edit draughts based on feedback from project stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency between architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Provide comprehensive construction process outlines within technical drawings.
  • Submit drawings for approval and ensure all necessary information is included for usability.
  • Generate materials lists and coordinate with the Operations Manager.
  • Use CAD software to produce detailed technical drawings and transfer CNC files for plasma machine programming.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Background in the steel or construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in structural engineering, design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in drawing software such as Tekla, Autodesk, and AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated design experience, particularly with balustrades and railings.
