Summary
*Establish clinical research in an agreed area, including collection and analysis of critical data. *Gain sufficient research experience that will enable completion of a higher degree (MD or PhD). *Facilitate trial set-up and obtain necessary approvals (ethics, MHRA) for nested cohort studies. *Prioritise tasks within the agreed work schedule to ensure that projects are delivered in timely fashion, in accordance to set deadlines. *Suggest and contribute to the development of research techniques, models and methods in collaboration with colleagues. *Contribute to writing ethics' submissions and bids for research grants. *Disseminate research findings using appropriate and effective media such as publication, research seminars and conference presentations. *Provide guidance to other staff and students. *Contribute to the production of research reports. *Plan and develop research contributions to subject area using methodologies, critical evaluations, interpretations, analyses and other appropriate techniques. *Organise and lead patient and public involvement focus groups. *Work together with the project team (locally and internationally) to yield high impact publication outputs, and generate novel data for future grant applications.
