Summary
This Electronic Component strategic Procurement and Sourcing role is focused on the open market and brokerage side with an Asian sourcing focus, offering a remote or hybrid working option and can have you based in the US, UK or Europe. The role involves identifying and securing supply for both new and obsolescent electronic components, with a strong emphasis on sourcing from Asian markets including China, Singapore and Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key part in managing supply chain relationships, negotiating with international suppliers and ensuring availability of critical parts in line with client demand. This role suits someone with strong procurement experience in a fast-paced, component-led environment. You will be working with the internal and outside BDM sales teams, building up strong working relationships so that you are able to provide a unified confidence for customers in the ability to deliver upon the deals that are done and requirements in the sourcing of components that are then required across the open markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Source board level electronic components from global markets with a focus on Asia – HK, Singapore & China.
Identify and secure supply for hard-to-find, obsolete or alternative board level electronic components.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships & networks.
Negotiate pricing, lead times and contract terms.
Track global market trends and stock availability.
Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with customer needs.
Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience sourcing board level electronic components internationally.
Proven track record of working with suppliers in Asia – Hong Kong, China & Singapore specifically.
Knowledge of new and obsolete component supply chains and open market.
Good brokerage experience and the ability to ensure products are from a legitimate sources.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Location :- US, UK or Europe based - Hybrid or remote option, with occasional travel to Head Office in UK or US and also to suppliers in Asia once a year or possibly more often.
