Summary

Maintenance Engineer

Willand | £30,000 - £34,000 per annum | Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 40 hours per week

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Willand, seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is a great opportunity to secure a permanent days-based role with regular working hours and excellent overtime rates.

Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday, 40-hour week.
  • Overtime available:
  • Weekday OT at flat rate.
  • Saturday OT at time and a half.
  • Sunday OT at double time.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on a range of factory equipment, including conveyors, fans, bearings, chains, and sprockets.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Conduct repairs and parts replacements to minimise downtime.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work.
  • Provide occasional training and support to other team members.
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical maintenance or engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical skills, ideally in a medium to heavy industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with conveyors and moving machinery components.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications are highly desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive attitude with good problem-solving abilities.
