The Role – Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant:

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11–16 to support their learning in Mathematics. Your role will involve providing in-class support, leading small-group interventions, and working 1:1 with pupils who need extra help to build confidence and improve attainment in Maths.

This Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant role is particularly suited to ambitious graduates who are considering careers in teaching or education. You’ll gain experience in lesson delivery, behaviour management, and targeted support, making this an excellent stepping stone into a PGCE or salaried teacher training route.

Ideal Candidate – Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant:

• 2:1 degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related subject

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident, proactive, and able to inspire students
• Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people is desirable but not essential
• Must be eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
