We’re seeking a Relief Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Bisley Drive, South Shields, where you will play a key role in providing compassionate support. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic, dedicated team, offering flexibility while making a significant impact on peoples lives.


The Role

At Bisley Drive, we support people within a 7-bedroom respite short break service for adults with learning disabilities.

Support Provided may include:



Tending to all aspects of daily living, including personal care


Domestic Household Support (cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the home)


Support with budgeting and finances


Social Support, helping to engage in community and social activities


Family Support, assisting families in maintaining relationships


Medication Support


Liaison with Health Professionals and Social Care Professionals to ensure holistic care


In-house and out-of-house activities, including assisting with outings and interests



While previous experience is desirable, we provide full training to help you succeed in this rewarding role.

Relief hours available - Various shift patterns including days, evenings, nights, weekends and sleep overs.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check
