Summary

HGV Class 1 Driver.

Salary: £41,726.75 pa, based on a 46.25 contracted week.

Benefits: Paid Overtime at 1.5 and occasional Saturday's at double time. Free Parking, Pension and Holiday's.

Day work only: Hours: 06:00 to 16:00 (46.25 hours per week) Monday - Friday (Hours are flexible to the needs of the business)

Main Duties:
o Collect, deliver and exchange RO-RO bins, or Wag & drag bulk work travelling between our clients and our 3 operational sites
o Following driving routes provided by our Transport Department
o Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport Manager immediately
o To complete all paperwork accurately in a timely manner
o Parking of all vehicles at the end of everyday
o Making sure the cab of your lorry is always clean and tidy
o Keep in regular contact with the transport manager, yard managers and weighbridge operators at each site.


Attributes and Experience:
o Class 1 Driving Licence (Minimum 2 years)
o Must hold a Drivers CPC Licence
o RO-RO (or Wagon & Drag) experience - Training will be given to drivers showing interest and aptitude
o You must have good problem-solving skills
o Effective communication, both orally and in writing, is essential
o You will also have an excellent phone manner
o You must always look presentable as the role is customer facing
o Fluent English is required.
