Summary
To manage the pharmacy procurement and distribution service, ensuring: high quality service provision, effective risk management, clinical governance and adherence to relevant legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines. implementation of contracts and contract review mechanisms, including developing methods of increasing savings and ensuring value for money. management of medicine shortages in close liaison with senior pharmacists to provide optimum available products and reduce clinical risks to patients. the trust is exposed to the minimum financial risk by operating robust systems. the trust is exposed to minimum clinical risk by purchasing from reputable suppliers and that unlicensed products are identified for Quality Control.
