Summary
ASSET MANAGER
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm

G4S Facilities Management is looking for an Asset Manager on a full time, permanent basis. The primary responsibility of this role is to collaborate with the Lifecycle Analyst, Assurance Team, and Project Management Office (PMO) to develop pragmatic Scopes of Work that will serve as the foundation for Lifecycle Plans disseminated to clients and the broader organisation.
While this is a hybrid role, the ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance of the Midlands, North West, or West Yorkshire areas, as the position requires being on-site or in meetings approximately 70% of the time.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and manage lifecycle plans: Work with the Lifecycle Analyst to create new plans, review existing ones, and determine the best replacement or refurbishment strategies
Identify and assess assets: Research and identify all mechanical and electrical (M&E) assets within buildings like schools, medical centers, and courthouses.
Create scopes of work: Develop clear and practical scopes of work for the PMO to use for accurate pricing.
Oversee reactive lifecycle work: Manage the process for reactive lifecycle work, maintain records, and provide technical guidance to the Assurance Team and other operational teams.
Provide technical support: Collaborate with Assurance Managers to offer technical advice and guidance to Operational Leads on key PFI contracts.
Conduct site liaison: Communicate with on-site engineers and staff to understand existing systems and maintenance protocols.
Perform asset assurance audits: Work with the Technical Assurance Manager to audit assets, verifying they meet best practices and contractual obligations. You will use a variety of sources like reports, inspections, and manuals to assess the condition and risk of M&E systems.
Develop asset management tools: Create and implement tools and reporting mechanisms to help various teams contribute to G4S's strategic asset management goals (ISO 55001).
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who -
Has Mechanical or electrical building services qualification
Has Management surveying experience
Has a detailed understanding of the principles of ISO 55001
Has proven ability to work with and implement lifecycle models and plans
Is able to demonstrate the ability to take initiative on plans, follow through with execution, and hit project milestones.
Is proficient in using IT tools and databases
