Summary
Role: Class 2 Driver (Internally known as Relocation Operative Class 2)
Location: Leeds
Salary: £32,000
Contract type: Permanent
Hours a week: 40 (5 out of 7 days)
We are seeking a skilled Class 2 Driver with strong manual handling abilities to join our dynamic team. This role goes beyond driving—it involves hands-on loading, packing furniture, and leading small teams during relocations and installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving and Manual Handling Safely operate rigid commercial vehicles up to 18t, while also loading and packing furniture
- Team Leadership Lead and manage small teams during relocations and installations
- Project Management Manage small moves and projects, ensuring compliance with company and legislative requirements
- Safety Ensure safe handling, transportation, and installation of furniture and equipment
-Training Educate and develop team members in best practices and standards
- Compliance Maintain company standards, including Waste Transfer Notes and daily vehicle checks
About You
- Licenses and Certifications Full Cat C licence, Drivers CPC & DQC
- Desirable Certifications FORS, ADR classifications, CSCS Card, IOSH Working Safely or equivalent, Asbestos Awareness
- Experience Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver in logistics or relocation, with strong manual handling skills
- Skills Strong leadership, safety-conscious, and excellent communication skills
